The 2026 Expedition comes in five series: XL (fleet only), Active, Tremor, Platinum, and King Ranch. The extended-length Expedition Max body is available on XL, Active, Platinum, and King Ranch trims. The Tremor is only available in the standard wheelbase.

Every 2026 Expedition is powered by the 3.5L EcoBoost V6 engine paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission with SelectShift capability. The Tremor and select Platinum packages use a High Output version of that same 3.5L EcoBoost V6, rated at 440 horsepower and 510 lb-ft of torque. Standard horsepower ratings for non-High Output trims are listed as TBD in current Ford documentation and will be confirmed closer to production.

Yes. The 2026 Expedition is available in both 4x2 and 4x4 configurations depending on the trim. Active is available in both. Tremor, Platinum, and King Ranch are 4x4 only. The Tremor adds a two-speed transfer case, electronic locking differential, and a Rock Crawl drive mode in addition to the standard terrain management modes.

The Tremor is an all-new off-road focused series for 2026. It comes standard with the 3.5L High Output EcoBoost V6 producing 440 horsepower and 510 lb-ft of torque, a modified higher-ride suspension with premium passive shocks, a 28MM heavy-duty radiator, modified Raptor skid plates, Trail Control with Trail One Pedal Drive, Trail Turn Assist, front tow hooks, off-road auxiliary grille lights, and 18-inch dark carbonized gray wheels with Electric Spice accents. It is only available in the standard wheelbase body.

All 2026 Expeditions include Ford Co-Pilot360 Assist 2.0 as standard, which covers automatic emergency braking, blind spot information system, cross-traffic alert, lane-keeping, adaptive cruise control with stop and go, pre-collision assist with pedestrian protection, pro-trailer backup assist, and a 360-degree camera. The Active Touring (202A), Tremor, Platinum, and King Ranch trims step up to Ford Co-Pilot360 Active 2.0, which adds Intersection Assist. BlueCruise hands-free highway driving capability is available across multiple trims as an optional or included feature depending on the series.

Yes. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility are included on Active, Tremor, Platinum, and King Ranch trims through the Ford Digital Experience, which also includes Google Assistant, Google Maps, and the Google Play Store. The system features a 13.2-inch center stack display and a 24-inch panoramic instrument panel display. The XL SSV trim does not include Ford Digital Experience.

Seating depends on the trim and configuration. Most trims seat seven passengers as standard with available configurations for eight. Active Select (200A) seats eight with its standard bench second row. Active Touring (202A) and Tremor come standard with seven-passenger captain's chair seating. The Expedition Max with the optional third row power fold seat on the XL SSV seats eight. Refer to the specific Equipment Group and seating option selected for exact capacity.

Marsh Gray (T9) is a new exterior color added for 2026, replacing Wild Green which has been discontinued. Other available colors include Agate Black Metallic, Dark Matter Gray Metallic, Glacier Gray Metallic Tri-Coat, Oxford White, Space Silver Metallic, Star White Metallic Tri-Coat, and Stone Blue Metallic. Color availability varies by trim.

A Power Panoramic Vista Roof with Power Shade is now optional on the Active Touring (202A) trim and is standard on the Tremor, Platinum, and King Ranch series. It is not available on the Active Select (200A) or XL.
