Mission Thanksgiving

Friends of Love & Care, 
 
I want to take a moment and thank you for all you’re doing for those in need and hurting in our communities that we serve in Abilene, Merkel, Clyde, Anson and beyond. 
 
One of the fastest growing ministries we are seeing is our Care Pack for Kids school program. We work with 10 different school districts, helping feed children weekly. In the 25/26 school year, we served 86,023 packs at a cost of $4.25 each, totaling $365,597.00. This is a vital ministry helping children to learn. 
 
Now Mission Thanksgiving is near, and the need is ever increasing. Non-perishable food is very important this year.

• Frozen Meat (Deer or Cow)
• Clothing of All Sizes for Men, Women and Children
• Sleeping Bags and Blankets
• Travel-size Personal Hygiene Items
• New Underwear and Socks of All Sizes for Men, Women and Children
• Coats, Shoes and Boots of All Sizes for Men, Women and Children
• Monetary Donations

 
We invite you to join us for the 27^th Mission Thanksgiving on November 20, 2026, at Arrow Ford, 4001 South 1^st St., 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

How to Help

Businesses, families, and individuals can become a "Wall of Love" sponsor for this major event by donating $500 or more, which will help feed 1,600 people. 

Volunteer at the event. Individuals and groups are invited to Arrow Ford from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. to assist with collecting and processing donations. Volunteer shirts are available while supplies last. Click here to register to volunteer.
